A lace design from a pattern in the book "Crochet Inspiration". It's 2 cats! See them?? It's about 16" by 10" or so. I just thought it might be a fun thing to try, although now I have no idea what to do with it.
A wee hat! (I know, the picture gives no clues as to its actual size, in fact it looks rather large and looming in this picture.) I'm proud of it because I made it "freestyle" without following any pattern (although I've made a ton of this type of hat so I guess I just "know" how to do it at this point) and all scrap yarn I had lying around. It's for a friend who is expecting a baby. (That is to say, it's for the baby.) I had forgotten how much fun and how quick hats are to knit! (The wee ones, at least.)
Last but not least, some of the last flowers from my garden. On a grey rainy Portland autumn Sunday afternoon.
