The wee felt swords were kind of a pain. Also I made these guys with cheap-o acrylic yarn so the crocheting process was a little bit annoying. Next ones I make will be wool or cotton yarn! Much more pleasant to work with!
The kids like to play with all the critters I knit and crochet ("play with" usually means "throw around and jump on top of and stuff into the couch and generally be not very gentle with") so I am learning how well constructed they really are. Most of them are holding up pretty well, although a couple have had to go to the "repair shop". (such as: Monkey.)
Oh! And I just discovered that the creator of these patterns has a blog! (Of course she does!) NeedleNoodles. Tutorials and other patterns and neat crocheted things. Also I just joined the Flickr Group for finished projects from the book.
But now I feel like I need to try some other things. Like flowers!
