I finished my first pair of gloves -- the pattern is from the book "Weekend Knitting". They took me more than just a weekend, but overall they were pretty quick. I was really happy with them during the knitting process, they were fun and challenging, and I thought they were turning out great!
But in the end they fit somewhat weird... I think I put the thumbs in slightly the wrong spot, plus the lengths (and widths) of the fingers are a little bit... uh, inconsistent. The fingers look really silly to me. (This is an awkward picture but I am too lazy to retake it. And isn't the aluminum siding on my house lovely?)I will probably try knitting more gloves at some point. Or maybe... mittens! With gnomes on them!

Yay gloves! I like the little nubbins on the end of the fingers. Good work! (Also liked the link to the gnome mittens which look very complicated.)
If they were for me they'd have two left thumbs!
